—vŽ| To estimate the behavior of stirrup, which is significant for the fracture around stirrup due to ASR, specimen with expansive mortar cast into the frame of ordinary concrete is conducted. The ASR-induced circular and elongated deformation as 5.00mm and 3.33mm are generated by the bending and tensile action. Besides, angular increment about 2.0‹ is verified for corner concrete. This is responsible for the opening deformation of stirrup, being crucial for progress of initial damage until to fracture. By FEM analysis, external deformations in experiment are generally reproduced.
