要旨 |
Failure mode classification in reinforced concrete beams is especially difficult for brittle failure types such as shear and bond splitting. In this study, a new approach in the classification of the resulting failure mode is presented wherein emphasis is placed on the analysis of the main bar strain distribution based on the truss and arch model theory. Failure mode prediction from the proposed method is compared with experimental data from a number of beam specimens and showed good results. Also, an analysis on the ultimate strength of reinforced concrete beams is given. |
