要旨 |
Tests are carried out to study the effectiveness of different strengthening techniques for seismic shear enhancement and retrofit of main beams of one story RC rigid frames, which are used for viaducts of highways in Japan. Scaled beam models are tested strengthened with epoxy bonded steel wings, steel vertical strips, and externally anchored stirrups. All the strengthening schemes are found to be effective in changing the failure modes of beams from brittle shear to ductile flexural one; however, existing steel brackets have little influence on the ultimate shear strength of beams. A numerical analysis is also performed using FEM to simulate the behavior of these beams. |
