Stone powder sludge is a by-product of crushed sand, and most of this is dumped in landfills. This paper investigates the effects of stone powder sludge on the strength and microstructure of alkali-activated fly ash pastes. Stone powder sludge was used to replace fly ash at replacement ratios of 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% by mass. Unit weight and compressive strength of the samples were measured, and scanning electron microscope/ energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM/EDS) analysis and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were performed. |
