To develop a new repairing technology of fire-damaged concrete, the strength recovery of concrete after exposed to high temperature was investigated. The effects of temperature, cooling method, performance- modifying agent (PMA), and re-curing time on the compressive strength and its recovery were discussed. The test results indicate that the strength of concrete decreased with raising the heating temperature for any cooling method, and was smaller when the heated concrete was cooled by water than in the air. The embrocation of PMA on the heated concrete could accelerate the strength recovery. |
