Maweihe Bridge is a skew bridge damaged in Wenchuan earthquake. The superstructure happened great residual displacement, abutments and side blocks were damaged due to collision. To make clear seismic response and failure mechanism, dynamic analysis for superstructure was conducted. Movement and rotation of deck was roughly reappeared, as well as the damage to side blocks. Besides, it was found that deck movement was affected by three main loads (bearing, seismic and collision forces). Furthermore, slide rubber bearing provided relative low resistance, causing great displacement and collision. |
