要旨 In 2020, JIS A 6209 ‘Volcanic glass powder for use in concrete’ was published. It is a new kind of supplementary cementitious material that has been developed, here call it VGP. In this research, the performance of VGP was evaluated by three methods-compressive strength experiment, selective dissolution, and X-ray diffraction analysis. And type II VGP was used to replace Portland cement at the ratio of 0%, 10%, and 20% by weight of binder, to investigate the active performance of VGP, and to evaluate the relation between the pozzolanic reaction of VGP and consumption of calcium hydroxide. Based on these experiments, VGP showed huge active performance and has the same effect on compressive strength.
