要旨 |
This paper provides new insights on the influence of neutron irradiation-induced high temperature on thermal expansion and microstructural changes of aggregate using an image-based two-dimensional finite element method. The coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of aggregate obtained from the experiment and numerical modeling were evaluated and compared. It is demonstrated that the impact of temperature on the thermomechanical behavior of aggregate can be successfully reproduced by considering the real microstructures and crack opening in the interface of different mineral phases. |
