The properties of slag/fly ash-based geopolymer (GP) materials with addition of clinker ash (CA) were investigated. Partial replacement of sea sand with CA decreased the fluidity and the the frost resistance of GP materials. Partial replacement of fly ash with CA decreased the strength of GP concrete, but replacing sea sand under 20% with CA improved the strength of concrete. The interfacial transition zone between CA particles and GP matrix was found to be compact. Part of anorthite in CA contributed to the formation of gismondine in GP materials. |
