In this paper, nonlinear 2-D finite element analysis was conducted on an exterior reinforced concrete (RC) beam-column joint specimen with insufficient beam longitudinal reinforcement anchorage, and the seismic capacity was predicted. The proposed model was verified by comparing the experimental and analytical results, showing that the load-deformation relationship and the failure mechanism agreed well. The present paper describes the effectiveness of modeling of the straight anchorage considering the bond-slip relationship between the reinforcement and concrete and its limitations. |
