要旨 |
The use of lap splice in shear reinforcement recommended in AIJ Recommendation for Detailing and Placing of Concrete Reinforcement is limited to SD490 and below. Hence, to study its applicability on higher strength rebars, the authors conducted cantilever RC foundation beam tests using 785N/mm2 weldspliced and lap-spliced shear reinforcement. The strength characteristics exhibited by lap-spliced specimen were comparable to weld-spliced specimen and they were safe at allowable loads calculated as per AIJ Guidelines; and ultimate loads, calculated using Arakawa Mean and Modified Plasticity Equations. |
