—vŽ| To evaluate the seismic resistance of the existing buildings in Malaysia built by the British Standard, a school building that was damaged at the 2015 Ranau earthquake is analyzed by STERA_3D software which was developed by the author. The earthquake response analysis was conducted using the modified time history acceleration data measured at the Ranau earthquake by the seismograph installed at Kota Kinabalu station. By comparing the results of the analysis and the actual damage of the building, the reason that caused damage to the building is clarified.@
